Kids Theme Parks in the UK to Keep your Children Entertained

Parents of young children in the UK have many options for theme parks that will keep their little ones entertained. Legoland Windsor, Drusillas Park, Chessington World of Adventure, and Paultons Park are four good bets geared toward families with children 12 and under.

legoland.co.uk”>Legoland Windsor is perhaps the most famous of British theme parks for kids. It is themed around Lego blocks. It opened in 1996 on what used to be the site of Windsor Safari Park. Like other Legoland theme parks in other countries, it consists of Lego-themed rides, very elaborate Lego models, and Lego building workshops. The activities are primarily geared toward kids between ages 2 and 12, but of course, “kids” of all ages are welcome. Legoland Windosor was the fourth most visited park in the UK, after only Pleasure Beach Blackpool, Alton Towers, and Thorpe Park.

Drusillas Park includes not only an adventure park, but also a zoo. The two are combined in Drusillas Park’s “Go Wild!” play area with an African theme. The theme park is located in Alfriston, East Sussex, and features more than 100 animal species such as ring-tailed lemurs, meerkats, and penguins, as well as a Thomas and Friends train, which is a huge hit with the preschool demographic. The park is designed for kids ages 2 to 10.

Chessington World of Adventure in southwest London, is a theme park and zoo. It started out as a zoo, but a theme park was developed alongside it. The park features the Dragon’s Fury roller coaster and family oriented rides like Bubbleworks. Many of the animals in the zoo can be seen from the Safari Skyway, which is an elevated monorail. Chessington World of Adventures is undergoing major upgrades and changes ahead of a big opening in 2010.

Paultons Park is another family theme park in the UK, located near Romsey in Hampshire, England on the former Paultons Estate. It has gone from being a small park to being a large attraction aimed at familes. Paultons Park originally was a country park and bird garden, but it now has dozens of rides and attractions as well animals like meerkats, penguins, touracos, and South African Crowned Cranes. As for thrill rides, Paultons Park has three roller coasters and two water rides.

I'm not sure of your question, do you have a sewing machine or are you plannning on getting one? If you do not have a machine you would have to sew it by hand [which would be good for her to learn] or get some stitch wichery to fasten the materials together. Other than that check with some of the thrift stores for a machine or check the other stores regarding an affordable price and the last way would give you a guarantee for a limited amount of time. Make some pillows, a quilt or a wall hanging or even just a liittle blanklet type that you could use to keep you warm on cold days..
